Whether you are shopping for gemstones, pearls, glass or metal beads, you will find many different quality standards in the bead industry. Many manufacturers produce high and low quality beads. The low quality beads are referred to as “seconds” and are sold at a lower price to importers and wholesalers worldwide. The factory “seconds” are found in many craft stores and bead stores around the country along with online stores, catalogs, and most often gem shows. This does not mean that you will always get a second rate product when shopping through these venues, it just means that they are abundantly out there. We refuse to sell second rate quality because we believe that it compromises the integrity of the bead business. Many of our suppliers feel the same and we work together to bring you the best quality at prices that are comparable to the price you might pay for factory “seconds”.

Exceptional service is truly what sets Planet Bead apart. Our friendly staff of accomplished beaders is always willing to help with your latest project. While many stores charge a fee for this kind of assistance or are not equipped to provide it, we are happy to lend a hand at no charge. Our custom built beading stations are available along with the use of our tools free of charge anytime during business hours.
